bedroom rugs

slightly obsessed with rugs these days. with winter approaching, need to warm things up around here, especially in our master *suite* which is actually a 14x12 room with bright light painted BM lily white . it's a pretty, serene space but i'm worried - is it too cold?

i'm thinking a sheepskin rug is in order. one like this:

Don't do it, mama! The sheepskin rug we had was always being walked AROUND so we didn't matt it up. (mat? You know what I mean. Make it nappy! ;-))

My advice, and what we did? Head to IKEA in New Haven...they have great, colorful rugs at great prices. We got (thin, DURABLE) rugs for our kids rooms, just to play on, for less than $20 a piece! They're nearly 5 ft, sq, and GREAT. My son's has a little town, and roads, for cars, and my daughter's is little circles with "girly" pics inside.

Ugh...I've heard this winter is supposed to be even WORSE than last year. NOOOOOOO!

Hrm...I've never tried shopping online with them. Since I moved here last year, I've tried to go every May - they have a sale then that's to DIE for. One of their lines of fabric goes on sale for $.99 a yard! Last year, it was gorgeous cottons that I used for all the curtains in the house. This year, it was canvas-weight cotton, perfect for the aprons I make, hats, covering notebooks..the possibilities are ENDLESS.

Good luck with your bedrest!!
